Hey kids - So.... my sister and I are doing the Chicago marathon next October. I used to be a huge runner, but havent' done much in a long time. My actual training for the marathon starts next May, but prior to that I need to get back into running form. Anyone have any ideas as to what the best way is to get into it again?? I obviously can't start out with a 5 mile run.... but don't want to be dead after running around the block, either... just wondering if anyone has a running plan or something for someone getting back to the basics.
PS - we're doing the marathon through a charity so we're guaranteed a spot, and we're doing this for my 2-yr old niece who has cancer... if anyone wants to join us, let me know!! -Special K- "That's a problem... but it's not my problem." |
