The Rascals joined the 100-win club this season and now have 101 wins for their franchise total. They started playing in the “Dark Ages,” the spring of 2002 and have accumulated 16 seasons of kickball action, including a league-leading 13 EOST appearances. The result is one of MUSA’s most successful franchises with an amazing 101 wins to show for it. In the early days of MUSA kickball they were a “Beast of the East” that dominated the Eastside landscape, especially in the open pitch era between the spring of 03 and the spring of 05, where they were perennial contenders for a Golden Lunchbox. The Rascals have relied on a stingy defense over the years and it has assisted them in winning 81% of their kickball games in the regular season. They continue to roll out winning seasons but were not eligible (with a 4-3 record) for the EOST this season, the first time this happened since their second season in the fall of 2002. Although a consistent winner in the regular season, the team has never reached its full potential in the EOST, only making it to the Elite 8 two times. Their best shot at a GL ended in the spring of 2003 in the Elite 8 when they were stopped 2-0 by eventual champion, Twisted Frog Meat.
