actually mark, they have. They've won tournies that have played by MUSA style rules. After having played against and beating their team, I would say that they are most definitely a 3 team by MUSA standards. And would have to be one of the odds on favorites to win. We brought a very very solid team down to their tourney and just barely escaped with the win. It wasn't a rag tag group that we beat them with and most of us had played together many times before, so there was chemistry already. I'm really not sure if I'm for or against it. Part of me wants to prove that a current MUSA team can beat their pro team, the other part me thinks it would suck seeing them walk away with our golden lunch box. But no matter what happens, we won't be cancelling the party! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I sometimes play kickball |

Well, we have many many teams who have skilled players who have played with each other before - so that being said they may be a force but this notion they are this unbeatable force I just dont buy. You guys beat them, so can many other teams.
If they win the GL, more power to 'em and it adds to the whole experience! It simply isnt going to ruin my day if an out of town team wins it all. But I'm all for MKE. Go SuperDudes! Go Gas?! Go Vandelay! __________________________ Consigliere - La Musa Nostra HOF Fall 2008 career regular season record: 267-103-8 GL Tourney Record 26-20 Togglers **Fall 2008 Final Four** Liquor I Barely Know Her **Spring 2009 Final Four** **Fall 2009 Hall of Fame** 2005-2009 ODF Dodgeball: 19-time MUSA Dodgeball Tournament champions |

Yeah, like I said, I'm not really against it. And they by no means are unbeatable.
Side note, they seem to have punched their ticket already though, as they have up on their home page that they will be heading up to Milwaukee for our Golden Lunch Box tourney. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I sometimes play kickball |

I dont like it either, I get sort of ill thinking of it. I'll know I've reached a new low when I am on the sidelines at the championship game saying to myself "come on Cap we need a big kick here" That was even hard to type. I'm going to go wash my hands. __________________________ Consigliere - La Musa Nostra HOF Fall 2008 career regular season record: 267-103-8 GL Tourney Record 26-20 Togglers **Fall 2008 Final Four** Liquor I Barely Know Her **Spring 2009 Final Four** **Fall 2009 Hall of Fame** 2005-2009 ODF Dodgeball: 19-time MUSA Dodgeball Tournament champions |

its even worse when Cap resorts to a desperation man bunt late in the game and is gunned down and it makes you start to cry. |

hey, i've been practicing my manbunts! the whole SuperDudes team has worked on manbunts during our morning practices (evening practices, we work on turning singles into HRs...The Body is the team trainer for that).

Fuck it, let them in. Take 'em to a good bar the night before their 9:00am game. They can call it a learning experience.

Now that we have some national teams, and some street cred out there...
Is there any way that the SuperDudes (since that's the "Face" of MUSA's elite) can replace El Capitan? He is ugly as fuck! Since he's the least talented on the squad anyways, I think a good replacement would be Jedi. Everyone loves that kid! That's My Two Cents And I'm A Gajillionaire In Brainpower! Manitor of the year. I agree with no one....
Until we go to a BCS style championship I'm not going to be happy. Danger - great suggestion, but since the Commish didn't come up with the idea first it's not going to happen. And, you just opened yourself up to the wrath of Lunzer because you you are messing with his "MUSA Rights." Very interesting topic and I'm glad Lord Kickball called me last night to vent as I was trying to win my first game on the Heisman setting on NCAA10 Football. A spectacular 32-15 win for Wyoming State Warhawks over All-Time USC Trojans. I'm sorry, what were we talking about? The St. Louis team is very good and would definitely be ranked in the Top-5 of current MUSA teams, which means they are a legitimate contender. The issue I have is that they won't feel the need to play by MUSA's "gentlemen rules" of no manbunting. They will manbunt, or have the threat to do so, which adds an element of offense to their game that other MUSA teams don't have. And don't kid yourself, I know a lot of you say that the manbunt is easy to defend but we will see against speedy male athletes. Other than Daley, I don't know of another 3rd baseman that regulary plays up on the cones so teams might want to get some practice in with that over the next week or so. They have some great players, especially males. Their females are probably just average compared to the better females in MUSA. Also, they travel in a huge pack so expect their roster to be 4 girls and 14 guys. Have fun defending that. The competition part doesn't bother me at all. We are the players that travel to Minnesota and Madison and St. Louis looking for competition and it looks like we will be heading out again to Florida this winter so that doesn't have anything to do with it. What really bothers me about any of these non MUSA teams in the tournament is just that. They are non MUSA. Face it, MUSA is never going to get any bigger or better even though the Commish mentions that in every other 10th post he makes. MUSA is what it is, which is fine, but I think enough smoke has been blown up our asses to last a lifetime. Having non MUSA teams in the MUSA EOST isn't going to do a god damn thing to make it bigger and better. The truth is there is going to MUSA teams that paid their $300 registration and will not be able to play because a slot was given to a non MUSA team. Nelson - what if the Togglers finished 5-2-1 and were the 48th team but you were told to sit out this EOST because a non MUSA team is playing instead of you, even though you have over 10 seasons of continued patronage to the league? By the way, Commish, I would like to enter my team from my league. Perhaps you've heard of them. They are "Little Dusty's Kickballers" from the Little Dusty Kickball League. We are based in a small town in Wyoming but I know you allow teams that aren't from MUSA to play so we will be there!!! I can't wait to play in this free tournament since we don't have to pay the MUSA registration fee. What time is the selection show? The Death Machine - I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy... A lot of teams have busted their asses to make this tournament. Its gonna suck to get bounced early in the day by St Louis, a team who hasn't won any divisions to earn their way into this tournament. We didn't go down there for thier season championship, we went down there for a national tournament. St Louis will fuck up 90% of out teams, and I'll be pissed if its one of mine. I'm with Lord Kickball.

That is true. 99.8% of everyone likes Jedi. He could really increase likability factor for the Superdudes.

I disagree with this talk of "if I lose to them and get knocked out of the tourney, I'm gonna be pissed" talk. If you lose to them, there's a very high chance that you would have lost to a Got Gas, Vandelay, or Superdudes. Are you going to be just as pissed if you would have had to play them?
I like the competition part of it. I really don't think this is going to broaden MUSA's appeal or expand MUSA as death has already aluded to. These guys go all over the country playing tournies and don't help these other groups get any bigger. We didn't help Big Balls get any bigger/better by going to their tourney. And side note, it's come up about them and practicing... think of how many games and nights some of us play... that might as well be practice. they only play on weekends, so for them to get a practice or two in, it's not unlike people playing 4-5 nights a week or on 6 teams or have a game count of 100 in a season... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I sometimes play kickball |

Doesnt bother me in the least, for the following reasons: a) In this scenerio my team lost 2 games and tied 1. We can only blame ourselves. I want to be in the tourney like others do, but the solution then is to not lose 2 and tie 1. Even if they are all close games against Top 10 teams. 2) This is a rec league and is a hobby, it's not the end of the world to not make the tourney. I'm not going to slip into some severe depression. Many people who want to play in it are already on multiple teams or end up on other teams anyway. People are forgetting this tourney is 48 teams. 48!!!!!!!!!!! Teams with 2 losses almost always have the option to play in it. We've had 3-loss teams in it for fucks sake. Should we repeal it back to 16 or so? Then 32 more teams wont be in it. I understand the whole right to make the tourney if you pay your team fees, but where is the line? Lets just allow all the teams in then so nobody is treated unfairly. And Stive is dead on...all these teams people are on is the same or better then this "practice" this St Louis team does. __________________________ Consigliere - La Musa Nostra HOF Fall 2008 career regular season record: 267-103-8 GL Tourney Record 26-20 Togglers **Fall 2008 Final Four** Liquor I Barely Know Her **Spring 2009 Final Four** **Fall 2009 Hall of Fame** 2005-2009 ODF Dodgeball: 19-time MUSA Dodgeball Tournament champions |
