Hmmm, interesting trade. Twins have too many outfielders and needed a short stop. Brewers needed a center fielder.

Hardy had a bad season last year but he was an Allstar in 2007.

What do you all think...good trade for both teams? Or who do you think got the better deal?

Personally I do not see Gomez ever figuring out how to hit in the pro's. He is an amazing fielder and fast around the bases but is that enough?

Is hardy going to come back after a terrible season to perform at an Allstar level again?

How do you Brewers fans feel about this trade?

I just saw that on the tv in the bar, but couldn't hear details. Was it a one-for-one trade? Or are there some minor leaguers involved?

On the surface it might be a good deal for both clubs. Gomez can get regular playing time and Hardy might need a change of scenery.

I've contended for awhile that Gomez has the 2nd best tools on the Twins, he just needs to learn how to use them.

Thank God JJ is finally gone. Wish him the best with you guys. Hope he turns his shit around. On the flipside I'm hoping this leads to another trade of one of our outfielders(Corey Hart) for some pitching.

It sounds pretty fair. Hardy is rock solid on defense- he's super accurate and quick with his throws. His batting was terrible this year, but he was pretty good last year.

I'm sad to see him go, but he probably does need a change of scenery and since this guy is a Center fielder, that means we are getting rid of Cameron too, I'm sure.

I think this trade seems good (only time will tell of course). We needed a centerfielder and we needed to get rid of vaJJ Hardy. Seems like we killed two birds with one stone. Gomez is young and maybe with a new hitting coach will develop. The Brew Crew can take the $9.5mil diff between Gomez's salary and Cameron's salary and go after some pitching.
