WEEK 7 RECAP:

#1 Got Gas? scored 2 runs in the top of the first inning and then held on for a closely contested 2-1 victory over vs. #5 Prestige Worldwide. Gas? secured the Moops championship but both clubs should be challenged in the crossover matchups slated for this week.

#7 Mike Oxbig Foundation couldn’t get going on offense and then resorted to manbunting late in the game in an attempt to generate runs. Fortunately, justice prevailed and the disturbance in the Force was leveled when #14 Tap That Ass was able to withstand the injustice for a hard fought 2-1 win. Both teams now prepare for their pivotal matchups with the leaders of the Moops.

The #6 Ballistic Bunters were enjoying their highest ever ranking in the AP after making it to the Elite 8 last season and going undefeated so far this season but it was to no avail, as the #2 SuperDudes turned up the heat on offense while keeping the Bunters off the scoreboard. The Dudes won 11-0, their third consecutive shutout of the Bunters.

#4 Vandelay Valley State took the lead 4-0 early in their game against #15 Liquor, I Barely Know Her. Liquor battled back and closed the gap to 4-3 before finally surrendering 6-3. VVS now has sole command of the Roper Division with their matchup against #17 Mr. Simpson still on the horizon.

probably cause they only lost 2-1 to the #1 team and they are a better team than those ranked lower than them. that's my guess.

Some could ask why Blue Balls, the only 2 loss team in the top 25, is ranked all the way at 8th?

Now think back to when Blue Balls lost to rock hard 10 (the then #1 ranked team) by 1 run in the bottom of the 9th. Think we were like 4th or 5th at the time and dropped a lot in the rankings, well below worse teams...so no, your reasoning dosn't make sense. I was told then by the AP regardless, if you lose, you have to move down the ranking just like any other ranking in any other sport.

And your same argument could be applied to why the pussies are ranked 5 when there are numerous undefeated teams ranked below them. I'm going to say its for the same reason.

Well how about this then, you lost to Got Gas #1, and then lost to "Pussies" Worldwide #5. So obviously, based on who you've lost to, if your ranking is correct, Prestige should be no lower than 7th, as we can't be ranked lower than a team we already beat, aka, No Balls.

Also, you lost to TTA last time you played them, who are currently #9. One could argue it's you guys who are ranked too high...

Personally, I think these rankings are about right though.

Yup, there is no way Blue Balls deserves that ranking.

The big question is when Blue Balls loses to Inebriation and has 3 losses and doesn't make the tourney will the AP still have them ranked in the top 25?

The complaint was never about blue balls, don't really care where we are ranked. Just that Pussies should drop after a loss, like all other teams drop after a loss. It really has never been in the order or how good teams are. Half the teams in this top 25 are a joke anyways.

The cRAYolas aren't a Top 25 team, and our schedule strength is similar to the Wisconsin Badgers football team. What's that you say AP? Ohio State scheduled for the cRAYolas followed by Iowa Friday night. Bye-Bye ranking. On another note I am sure we would kill Club G's, no matter if the game was played at Wick, Sijan or inside Club Garibaldis.

Yeah this is a huge game. We find out if we can hang with the big boys this Wednesday.

Has the Thursday schedule been sent out yet? I know there were whispers of a double header and that Bear Balls will be short players until the 9 PM game.

Speaking of make up games. Whats the word on making up all the rain outs? I know there are a lot out there.

Sean the Thursday schedules for the Wick divisions depend on the availability of the Wick fields. if the softball leagues play tonight, there leagues are done, and then the fields open up at Wick, so we will be able to play the extra games at Wick on Thursday night.
