Playing on both Wednesday and Thursday nights, I've been exposed to the vagaries of Mother Nature. (No guys, that's not dirty... look it up.) On Wednesdays, we ran through 8 straight weeks of games, and on Thursdays, half have been rained out.

I assume there is some frantic scrambling on the north side of Vliet to shuffle games around, and get them played on the south side of Vliet - and anywhere else there's an open softball diamond. And of course, there are no guarantees that we won't have more precipitation.

What has happened in the past if all the divisions can't run through their full schedules in time? Does a team that's standing at, say 5-0 get elevated to 8-0, pushing ahead of a team that's 7-1? Or do they remain at 5 wins/ 10 points, even if they've been dominant in those 5 games?

yes end of last week and today has been pretty chaotic trying to figure it all out. The kickball news page should have all the schedules updated.

I think Mark N can explain more about teams not getting all their games in and what happens.. I think the very worst we have ever done was teams with only 7 games (insert sound of knocking on wood)

We do everything possible to get games in, but if it comes down to a team who only plays 7 games versus a team who plays 8, we look at the loss column first and then RA and RF averages

Ivory towers are so overdone. Mine is made out of dodo eggs and pandas. A bit smelly on the hot days though.

*** Don't hate me cuz you ain't me ***

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you, and you may call us VI.
