Watching that chick fall down over her two feet and jiggle on the ground after getting hit by the ball. Then lay there grabbing her ankle in pain like she just stepped on a land mine. Then watch her team drive a car up to their bench to take her to the hospital. All I can say is, "Bravo! Encore!".



I am not talking about the play of Leraw throwing the ball at the girl. I am talking about the over the top act (in my opinion) she put on after she fell.

You'll notice I did not say I was happy or proud that she got hurt. Just making a comment on her actions while she was on the ground. Once again, thank you for reading the FIRST LINE OF THE MESSAGE.

You guys don't really know what you are talking about. Here are the facts:

1. People were pissed because Lawrence had a choice to throw to his teammate or throw at the runner and he chose to throw at the runner when they are at their most vulnerable (running at their top speed and not looking)

2. The ball hit the girls ankle and swept it out from under her. She fell before she got the base, hell she fell on top of the base. Don't talk out yer ass.

3. The doctor in the emergency room says she may have a small fracture and she has to be re-evaluated later this week. (not sure where the "drama" was)

Back to Lawrence's choice. Here are my observations:

1. Lawrence felt bad, obviously but his words on this board diminish that and make him look like a huge ass. (not to mention the rest of you)

2. Lawrence has done this before and it is a dangerous play. Perhaps he should think about taking his chances by throwing to his teammate and letting them make the play. Also, if it's a guy running, fire away, but an overweight girl? Is that necessary? Is there a grand prize for winning? Was winning the game ever in doubt?

I think that non-straight guy with the dreads tried to kick our girl on 1st base in the ankle.

You stupid fuck. He throws like that to our 1st baseman all the time. You ever think that maybe his throw was off target? It happened 3 times in the game before. They just didn't throw it that hard because they couldn't.

If the way he plays scares you, move to another field. It's a legal play, get over it. And way to diminish your girl. Not playing as hard because it's a girl running is lame. We don't expect to be treated differently and certainly don't want special treatment because we're "fragile" girls. It sucks that her ankle got hurt, but it's sports and people get hurt.

If I had a choice to do it over yes I would throw at the runner. I will every time if it is a close play and I do not think my first baseman can catch the ball.

So, I'm confused regarding these implicit rules you speak of. It is ok to throw the ball at a male, but only when he's jogging and looking directly at you? And it may also be ok to throw the ball at a girl, but only if she is under a certain weight?
